The experiments that revolve around the experiment of the concept of super fluidity reveal that when the experiment is conducted under observation, in a very short while later, the levels of the liquids that assimilated in both the containers used for the experiment actually equalized. With the help of the technology harnessed within the Rollin film, scientists were also able to observe that while taking into account the inside of the larger container used for the experiment, the helium II actually began creeping out as if making an attempt to get out and escape.
This of course happened if the container was not at some point during the preparatory phase of the experiment sealed. The experiment and observations made by L. D. Landau's under the findings of the established semi microscopic and phenomenological theory of super fluidity actually earned him the 1962 Nobel Prize in the area of Physics. L. D. Landau's findings we3re based on the assumption that sound waves react as the important excitations in the experiment with 4He.
He used the dynamics of very low temperatures and was able to prove that 4He could essentially flow past an obstacle placed deliberately like a wall, but the material would not necessarily or spontaneously generate excitations. This observation was based on the experiments carried out in the presence of a flow velocity that was maintained at less than that of sound. The velocity seemed to play a critical role in the experiment. It is interesting to note that Helium 4 is a light isotope of helium and is represented by the symbol ‘He'. . It is non radioactive in nature and consists of two protons and 2 neutrons. By far it is the most abundant out of the helium isotopes.

The alpha particle has the same nucleus as that of helium 4. An integer is the total spin of the nucleus. Many radio isotopes go through a process of a common decay mode called alpha decay. The source of helium 4 occurring very naturally on the earth is the Alfa decay. During the big bang, the nuclear fusion in the stars is supposed to have produced helium 4 in the process.
Most of the helium found on planet earth is helium 4 which was formed during the Big Bang. In the model created by Landau to illustrate the findings and the experiment itself, it is easily observed that the sound velocity plays a vital role in the final annihilation of the phenomenon of super fluidity. It can be seen easily that 4He actually displays a much lower velocity of flow when compared to the sound velocity used in an experiment.
The model generated by the genius of Landau has proven to be very useful in illustrating the whole concept very well. Landau was also able to determine that the sound wave used in the experiment as well as other excitations could actually result in equilibrating and integrating with one another, thus causing the final show of the fluid being able to flow apart from the condensate or the rest of the 4He.
